Completion of the course will provide you with the knowledge and practical skills to effectively deal with a range of emergency first aid needs. Candidates on the course will be continuously assessed and on successful completion of the course will be issued with a First Aid at Work Certificate that is valid for 3 years.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK (EFAW)
Complies with the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and fully accredited by the Royal Lifesaving Society UK (RLSS).
This qualification gives the learner the knowledge and skills to deal with emergency life threatening conditions e.g. Basic Life Support, Choking, Serious Bleeding & Unconsciousness.
Candidates on the course will be continuously assessed and on successful completion of the course will be issued with a First Aid at Work Certificate that is valid for 3 years.

Our First Aid Training Courses are fully accredited by the Royal Lifesaving Society UK (RLSS) who are one of the 13 awarding organisations able to deliver Ofqual accredited First Aid qualifications.
You can book onto one of our programmed courses or we can tailor a course to meet your individual needs which can be delivered on your premises if required at times to suit you (weekdays, evenings or weekends).
Candidates will be continuously assessed and on successful completion of the course will be issued with a First Aid at Work Certificate, valid for 3 years.

NATIONALPOOL LIFEGUARD & NATIONAL RESCUE AWARD FOR SWIMMING TEACHERS AND COACHES COURSES
NRASTC is a supervision and rescue qualification for teachers working on the poolside or in the water during programmed activities, such as a swimming lesson.
It is suitable for teachers working in a wide range of swimming pools where the water is deeper than the teachers’ standing depth and meets the Individual sites risk assessment.

ACCREDITED FIRST AID AT WORK TRAINING COURSES
NATIONAL RESCUE AWARD FOR SWIMMING TEACHERS AND COACHES (NRASTC)
The qualification is endorsed by the Amateur Swimming Association and the institute of Swimming Teachers & Coaches.
It is also recognised in ‘Managing Health & Safety in Swimming Pools’ as being appropriate for those supervising programmed activities.
There are no prerequisites for this qualification.
This is not a Lifeguard Qualification.
Course duration is 12 hours, normally over 2 days, with an independent assessment.
The validity period of the award is 2 years from the date of the assessment.

LEVEL 2, PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID (2 DAY)
RLSS UK NATIONAL POOL LIFEGUARD COURSE (NPLQ) 8TH EDITION
Pre Requisites Every candidate, prior to commencement of training for the NPLQ must:
Be 16 years of age at the time of taking the NPLQ assessment;
Be able to meet the following basic fitness criteria:-
Jump / dive into deep water
Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds
Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water.
Tread water for 30 seconds
Surface dive to the floor of the pool
Climb out unaided without ladder / steps and where the pool design permits
Course Content Training and assessment for the NPLQ is in three sections and all must be successfully passed to attain the NPLQ.
Section 1 - The Lifeguard and the Law, Swimming Pool Supervision
Element 1 – The Lifeguard and the Law
Element 2 – Swimming Pool, Hazards and Control Measures
Element 3 – Swimming Pool Supervision
Section 2 - Intervention and Rescue and Emergency Action Plans
Element 1 – Intervention and Rescue
Element 2 – Rescue of a Casualty with a Suspected Spinal Injury
Element 3 – Emergency Action Plan
Section 3 - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, AED, and First Aid
Element 1 – Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Element 2 – Automated External Defibrillation (AED)
Element 3 – First Aid
Element 2 of Section 3 can include an optional bolt of AED on to the qualification. Course Assessment Assessment for the NPLQ takes place at the conclusion of a training course for a minimum of 36 hours over 5 days or a number of weeks. The validity period of the award is 2 years from the date of assessment.
