We have a Health & Wellbeing Team who deliver activities in the local communities and within our facilities. We also own a stand-alone gym in Peterborough - Trilogy Peterborough. Recreation Assistants (Lifeguards)

You will ensure the effective, clean and safe operation of swimming pools and dryside facilities. You will deliver excellent levels of customer service to centre users at all times.

Ideally you will hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and First Aid at Work Certificate. However, we can train you to gain these.

Peterborough - Casual Fitness Instructors 

 
We are looking for qualified Fitness Instructors who are passionate about health & fitness. 
 
Are you positive? Proactive? Are you a fitness motivator? 
 
An important part of your role will be working on the gym floor building a friendly rapport with all customers to deliver great customer service. You will also be responsible for delivering inductions and advising members in the gym, delivering group fitness classes, being familiar and passionate about wearable technology, e.g. MYZONE. You will be responsible for the day to day operations which includes cleaning, reception/membership sales, maintenance and class cover. 
 
The ideal candidate must hold a Level 2 Fitness/Gym Instructing qualification and will ideally also hold one or more of the following: First Aid at work, Level 3 Personal Training, Group Exercise class qualifications, Level 3 Nutrition. 
 
You will need to be flexible in working shift patterns, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Have a positive attitude, be a team player, have great communication, motivation and customer service skills and have good sales qualities as selling memberships and collecting prospects is an important part of the job.

About the Role 
Board Members will have the experience and capabilities to guide the strategic direction of the Trust, with connections within the commercial and voluntary sectors. 
 
Board Members will attend approximately six meetings per year, and the Annual General Meeting. Meetings are held every other month, with each meeting typically running to about 1.50 hours. 
 
Board Members are appointed for a period of up to three years. Appointments are renewable for further fixed terms of up to three years. 
 
The roles are on a voluntary basis and are therefore not accompanied by any financial remuneration.

COOK - Full and Part Time Positions Available

The ideal candidates will have previous experience in a commercial setting and will need to be able to work under pressure, either alone or as part of a wider team, in a busy kitchen environment, preparing food, serving customers whilst keeping the environment safe and clean. Valid Food Safety & Hygiene certification would be advantageous.

Gymnastics Coach  Assistant Gymnastics Coach

Aqua Aerobics Instructors 

 
Are you passionate about Aqua Aerobics? Are you interested in water fitness and the benefits of training in a pool environment? 
 
Northampton Leisure Trust are looking to recruit to our team to support the continued growth of our instructor timetable across 4 sites. 
 
To be successful you will plan and provide fitness instruction in aqua classes for our trilogy customers. Inspire customers of all ages, and promote health and wellbeing using water fitness. To ensure the smooth and safe running of your classes. 
 
About the role… 
Responsible for delivering creative and innovative aqua aerobics classes. 
• Designing aerobics classes to cover all aspects of water fitness. Classes should encourage members to work on aerobic fitness, mobility, endurance and core body strength. 
• Providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all of our members within the pool & surrounding areas. 
• Deliver great customer service by providing personal attention and care to all members. 
 
Essential… 
• Aqua Aerobics qualification with a recognised provider. 
• Responsible for obtaining and upkeeping a water safety award ie. NPLQ, STA, NASRA Reach Rescue (can be provided in house subject to training agreement) 
• Exceptional communication skills and experience in a customer facing environment, able to respond appropriately & professionally to everyone you interact with in all manners. 
• Responsible for setting up poolside prior to classes and good housekeeping of equipment after each class. 
• An understanding of the Vulnerable Adult Safeguarding Process 
 
Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the business; typically, classes take place mornings, and evenings.

Street Sports Activator/Coach

We have a great opportunity for you to become part of our award-winning Street Sport Project, delivering multi-sport sessions for children & young people across Northampton. If you can inspire and be a role model for a wide range of young people, whilst having a flexible and engaging approach we want you to help deliver our exciting Project! 
 
We’re looking to recruit a team of enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated, Street Sports Activators to deliver and facilitate a variety of exciting sports to children and young people in a variety of local communities on our award-winning Street Sports program. 
What you’re going to have to do for us: 
• Deliver and facilitate high quality sports sessions in different area around Northampton, even sometimes joining in the fun. 
• Deal with customer enquiries in a professional manner. 
• Be responsible for ensuring that reasonable care is always taken for the health and safety of yourself and others. 
• Be available 5:30-7:30pm on weekday evenings. 
• What you need to show us: 
• A recognised sports coaching qualification or equivalent (ie FA Level 1 Coaching qualification, BTEC Sports Coaching, Community Sports Leaders Award) - Desirable 
• Experience of planning sessions and delivering to children and young people 
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively 
• Excellent time management skills 
• A willingness to travel around Northampton to work, a driving license is desirable but not essential 
• A positive attitude towards work and our customers
