At Trilogy Swim School we want to encourage all our students to be safe, have fun and keep fit in the pool.
Supported by the nationally accredited Swim England Teaching Plan we provide the framework for your child to learn a life skill and have fun.
All our swimming lessons are delivered in a fun and safe atmosphere, by Swim England or STA qualified swimming instructors who have been DBS cleared.
Lessons are continuous and run for 48 weeks of the year (excluding Monday Lessons) so you can enrol at anytime!

Trilogy Turtles Baby and Toddler
A brilliant way to start your child's swimming journey
You are never too young to begin to swim. Trilogy Turtles is designed to start your tots journey in the water.
A sensory experience for you and your little one with lots of familiar nursery rhymes and activities that cleverly teach water confidence all while having fun.
Nursery rhymes and toys encourage movement and water confidence for both parent and child!
As your child gets older they will be encouraged to take those first independent steps in the water.
Once they have built their confidence up they won't be accompanied by parents in the pool. Further developing their co-ordination, control and their confidence.
Trilogy Turtles is suitable for children aged 3 months to 4 years and help to develop a strong and lasting bond between child and parent.
Children Aged 4+
Our award winning swimming lessons stages 1 to 7
Our early stages are the framework of beginning to swim. They perfectly lead on from our Turtles stages. However are also suitable for complete beginners.
These stages have been carefully developed to ensure accuracy of technique is learnt coupled with fun and safety in the pool.
All the stages follow the Swim England Teaching Plan but have been adapted slightly depending on the pool is it delivered in and will feature added outcomes set by the Trilogy Leisure Swim School Coordinator.
The Learn to Swim Stage 1-7 Awards are divided into progressive stages. They make up the core, national syllabus of learning to swim for primary school aged children.
They are designed to reward your child for their development of the essential aquatic skills they need to be confident, competent and safe in the water.
Each of the Learn to Swim Stage 1-7 Awards has a list of clear outcomes that need to be completed in order to gain each Award.
Once your child has successfully completed their stage you will be able to purchase a badge and certificate from any reception.
Higher Stages
The next step on the swimming journey stages 8 to 10
The Learn to Swim Stages 8-10 continue the swimmer’s journey past Learn to Swim Stage 7 of the Learn to Swim Framework.
Swimmers are encouraged to take part in different aquatic disciplines that develop their fundamental sports skills. You can find out more about the sports on the Swim England sport ‘hubs’ by clicking or tapping here: swimming, synchro, water polo, and diving.

Track Your Child's Swimming Progress
Online portal to track your child's swimming lesson progress
We are committed to continuously improving the delivery of our swimming lessons. We are using the latest technology to record the performance of Trilogy Swim School children during their lessons.
For parents this means access to information about your child's swimming lessons through our online Home Portal enabling you to view:
your child’s performance against the key competencies for their course level, for example swim 100m efficient backstroke
a rating from the instructor on how they are doing against this competency, for example needs practice / fair / good
notification of when your child is ready to move up a stage
a record of all assessments and pass dates for each stage.

Rookie Lifeguard
For the budding lifeguards
The Rookie Lifeguard Awards are for your children if they are budding lifeguards and have completed Swim Stage 7.
Developed by the Royal Life Saving Society UK in partnership with Swim England, the Rookie Lifeguard Awards offer parents the comfort of knowing their children are aware of how to avoid dangers and enjoy the water safely.
The Bronze, Silver and Gold stage awards ensure children have a solid safety education, and have learned rescue and resuscitation techniques.
Each stage of the Rookie Lifeguard Awards is sub-divided into three levels.
Your children can enter a course at any point during the stage and progress at his or her own speed.
The Rookie Lifeguard Awards program also includes a Water Safety Award, a Life Support Award and Achievement Awards.

Adult Swimming Lessons
Its never too late to learn to swim
For adults who learn at an average pace, and have no fear water, around 20 hours of lessons over the course of a few months might be enough to gain basic swimming skills.

School Holiday Swim Camps
Improve confidence and ability in the water
Our school holiday swim camps are available to Junior Active members aged 4 plus. Our swim camps work on improving confidence and cover different stroke techniques in detail.
Courses run for 1 or 5 consecutive days and are available at all four of our pools.

Swimming Teacher Training
Train to be a swimming teacher
Do you have a passion for swimming? Are you fun and engaging with a positive role model approach? Have you thought about becoming a swimming instructor with us?
We have flexible teaching hours to fit around your lifestyle whether you are a mum, student or retired and wanting something to help fill your time, we can give you the opportunity to teach on our Turtles Babies and pre-school, Adult lesson and our main Swim School programme. If you are not qualified already, we can provide all the training you need.

Responsible for delivering creative and innovative classes in line with Trilogy Swim School scheme of works which follows the Swim England national plan for Teaching Swimming.
Providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all our members within the pool & surrounding areas.
Deliver great customer service by providing personal attention and care to all members.
Accurately complete records for the function to track attendance and improvements in swimming making sure individual, team and Swim School targets are being consistently met.
You must …
be outgoing and have an approachable personality
preferably hold Swim England Level 2 in Teaching Swimming or STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming but not essential as training can be provided
Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the business; typically, lessons take place after school or in the mornings for preschool, evenings and weekends.

Useful Information
We ask that participants arrive just 5 minutes before the start of their session.
Changing rooms are available, but we recommend children arrive ready to swim.
If your child is under 8 you must stay on site.
Don’t forget to enter your vehicle registration details at reception if you are attending a session at Lings Forum or Mounts Baths
Please note no refund will be offered for the change or removal of any part of an existing service to those on a monthly Junior Active membership as a wide range of other activities are available.
