Trilogy Holiday Activity & Food Programme (HAF) 

Welcome to the Trilogy Holiday Activity & Food website, otherwise know as HAF! We're excited to be a part of this initiative that is bringing funded places across some of our Easter activities programme for children and young people. This programme is brought to you in Partnership with Northamptonshire Sport and Public Health Northamptonshire.

  What is HAF?

HAF Northants is a government funded school holiday programme that ensures disadvantaged children, young people and families have access to healthy food and enriching activities throughout school holidays. 
 
This Christmas we are taking part in the scheme and will offer hundreds of places for children. These places are offered on our Trilogy Holiday Playscheme’s at Lings Forum and Duston Sports Centre, Trilogy Sports Camp at Thomas Becket Catholic School and sessions at our soft play facility at Berzerk Northampton. 
 
To take part in the programme families must be receiving benefits-related free school meals and be aged between 5 to 16 years old.

  What DoWe Offer?

Duston Sports Centre and Lings Forum  
Tuesday 2 - Thursday 11 April 
We are offering 20 daily places on our Playscheme at Lings Forum Leisure Centre and 16 daily places at Duston Sports Centre for children ages between 5-13 years.  
Please note that children attending the playscheme must be at least 5 years old and attending year 1 at School to comply with our OFSTED registration. 
 
Places are broken down into spaces across each centre in the morning and then further spaces in the afternoon. Our playschemes are fully supervised and OFSTED registered providing a safe and welcoming environment for your child. There is no need parents/guardians to stay onsite for these activity sessions. 
 
Trilogy Sports Camp at Thomas Becket 
Tuesday 2 - Thursday 11 April 
Our Trilogy Sports Camp @ Thomas Becket School aims to provide a fun and energetic sport activity session for children aged 8-13 years. 10 daily places available. 
 
Berzerk Soft Play 
We are offering 28 spaces between 9am-1pm at Berzerk Soft Play. These sessions are unsupervised meaning that parents/guardians over the age of 18 years must attend with the child after making a booking. 
 
A nutritious meal is offered with each place and can be added at the time of booking via the Playwaze website. 
 
Trilogy Memberships 
We are offering 40 x1 month 'Junior Active' memberships for young people 14 years+ 
 
These memberships can be claimed via the Holiday Activities website (link below) and redeemed by emailing rachel.collings@nltrust.org.uk once you have made the HAF booking using your unique reference number.

Our Trilogy Holiday Playschemes are fully supervised and OFSTED registered. The aim of the playscheme is to provide the best quality care, play & sport opportunities for your child aged 5 - 13 years. 
 
*Important Booking Information* 
 
1) Children MUST have started year 1 at School. If you child is 5 but is in, or just completed Reception Year, then they are not eligable for this playscheme. This is due to our OFSTED registration. 
 
2) Lunch will be provided as part of the holiday activity programme, therefore there is no need to provide a lunch when you visit our sessions.  
 
3) If you are booking 2 playscheme sessions in 1 day (AM & PM), please note that there is no need for you to collect your child in between sessions. 
 
4) If your child has additional needs please ensure they are discussed with our Wellbeing & Enterprise Team by calling our contact centre on 01604 838333.

6) If booking a session at Berzerk all children must be accompanied by an appropriate adult over the age of 18 years throughout the entire session. Children cannot be dropped off and left unattended at Berzerk. 
 
7) By making this booking at Berzerk soft play you are agreeing to the Berzerk Rules of Play available on our website here. 
 
8) Please be aware at Berzerk we operate a maximum height restriction policy of 4 foot 11 inches and a maximum age of 10 years old. 
 
 

Frequently Asked Questions 

What is the Holiday Activities and Food Programme ? 
The Holiday Activities and Food Programme is an initiative funded by the Department for Education to provide a programme of funded activities during the school holidays aimed to get children who attend to: 
 
• Eat more healthily over the school holidays 
• Be more active during the school holidays 
• Take part in engaging and enriching activities which support the development of resilience, character and wellbeing along with their wider educational attainment 
• Be safe and not to be socially isolated 
• Have a greater knowledge of health and nutrition 
• Be more engaged with school and other local services 
 
Programmes can be led by a range of organisations. From across the public, private and community and voluntary sectors, they must offer a range of catering, sports and physical activity and enrichment activities. 
 
Who can access the programme ? 
The holiday activities and food programme is available to all children and young people who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals. 
 
What's included? 
Each eligible child or young person will be able to access 4 days provision per week. Each provider will offer: 
• One meal during the session 
• Enjoyable activities. These vary from provider to provider but may include creative, enriching or physical activities 
• Socialising and friendly spaces to build relationships 
• Guidance and signposting for parents and carers to support your family 
 
How do I register ? 
• View the activity finder and check that the programme is suitable for your child's age range 
• Complete the online registration form and choose: 
• The weeks you would like your child to take part in the holiday activities and food programme, and 
• the place you would like them to go 
Before booking you will need to ensure that you have a unique booking code provided by your school 
Programme places are offered on a first come first served basis. Where a programme is full, you can register with alternative providers 
 
My school hasn't sent me a code – what do I do ? 
Please contact haf@northamptonshiresport.org. We will check your eligibility and issue your code 
 
What if my child attends a school outside Northamptonshire, or lives outside of Northamptonshire ? 
If a child is eligible for Free School Meals, and attends a Northamptonshire school, or lives within Northamptonshire, then they are eligible to sign up to the Northamptonshire Holiday Activities and Food programme. 
If they don't live in, or go to school in Northamptonshire, then you need to go to the relevant local authority (council) site. The Holiday Activity and Food Programme is a nationwide initiative, which will also be offered in Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes, Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire. 
 
Does my child / young person have to attend? 
No, the programme is voluntary, but we hope that children and young people who meet the eligibility criteria will take part. Everyone who is eligible is welcome to join the Holiday Activity and Food programme.
