Here at Northampton Leisure Trust we currently manage six leisure facilities across Northampton • Berzerk Children’s Activity Centre • Cripps Recreation Centre • Danes Camp Leisure Centre • Duston Sports Centre • Lings Forum Leisure Centre & the Forum Cinema • Mounts Baths.  We also have a Sport, Play & Health Development Team who deliver activities in the local communities and within our facilities.

With memberships from as low as £19.95 our prices are low, but it doesn’t mean our standards are. On the contrary, we know our staff are leaders in their field. Positive, motivated people with more energy than a room full of Les Mill’s instructors!

PLAY & HEALTH DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Part time - 17 hours per week - Job Share

Fixed Term Contract to December 2018

Salary - £24,717 per annum, pro rata 

 

An exciting opportunity for a part time (job share) Play & Health Development Officer (fixed term to December 2018) has arisen within our Sport, Play and Health Development Team.

The successful applicant will support the Head of Sport & Health Development Operations and other Senior Officers in developing and managing a wide range of leisure centre and community based opportunities for children’s play. Specifically within the role you will oversee and help deliver NLT’s four Funzone playschemes, develop community based outdoor play programmes and events, as well as delivering children and young people’s weight management programmes.

In addition, whilst maintaining current and identifying new partnerships, you will be expected to consult on and identify community play needs, explore, identify and make applications for further funding, as well as develop opportunities for children’s play contributing to active lifestyles.

You will be required to work Thursdays and Friday (9.00am – 6.00pm) each week, although some evening and weekend work may be required.

The position is subject to satisfactory DBS checks being undertaken.

Part Time Customer Service Advisors

We are currently looking for front of house Customer Services Advisors at Danes Camp Leisure Centre on Sunday afternoons.  You will be the first point of contact for all customers accessing the facilities and will need to be customer focused and able to handle a wide range of enquiries, remaining calm under pressure in order to provide an excellent service.

Knowledge of and experience within a customer facing industry, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.

We are have a variety of full and part time vacancies for Recreation Assistants to work within our Centre Operations Teams.  These are exciting opportunities for individuals seeking a career in the leisure industry.

Applicants must hold a current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

Job Vacancy: Casual Funzone Supervisors and Assistants

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and motivated Funzone Supervisors & Assistants to be a part of our busy holiday playscheme teams within our Leisure Centres.  Hours are available on a casual basis and candidates must be available during all school holidays, including the Christmas period.

The Funzone Supervisors role involves being responsible for ensuring all Health, Safety and Ofsted requirements are maintained at all times within the schemes.  Applicants should hold a level 3 qualification in Playwork, Childcare, Early Years, or Teaching and a full and current First Aid Certificate relevant for working with children (Paediatric).

Funzone Assistants will be expected to have at least 1 year experience of working with children and young people, ideally hold a Level 2 qualification in Childcare, Playwork, Teaching Assistant, Youth work or Sports fields, and be available during school holidays.
